Stacy Kimball Voted Off Survivor Fiji

The May 10, 2007 episode of Survivor Fiji was filled with Firsts.  A new car was given away, and a hidden Immunity Idol was played successfully and saved a cast member.

Dreamz became excited when he realized that there might be a chance to win a vehicle during the reward challenge, because he doesn’t own a car.

For the reward challenge, the tribe members had to complete an obstacle course while tied into teams of three.  The team of Boo, Yau-Man, and Stacy won the first stage of the reward challenge.  For the second stage of the reward challenge, Boo, Yau-Man, and Stacy competed in a hatchet throwing competition.  Yau-Man won the reward challenge and his prize was a 2008 Ford F-350 truck.

However, Yau-Man traded his truck to Dreamz in exchange for Dreamz agreeing to give his immunity to Yau-Man if he won immunity during the final four.  In another Survivor first, Yau-Man also chose himself to go to Exile Island.  Dreamz, Boo, and Stacy got to use the truck to take school supplies to a local school.

For the immunity challenge, the tribe members had to hook and lower a balance beam and then walk across the balance beam.  The final two then had to compete using a grappling hook to retrieve a buoy.  Boo won the immunity challenge.

Yau-Man shared his clue from Exile Island with Earl, and Earl found the hidden immunity idol in the hollow of a pine tree.  Dreamz plotted with Stacy to vote off Yau-Man, because Dreamz wanted to get rid of him before the final four so he wouldn’t have to give up his immunity if he won it.

At tribal council, Stacy told Jeff Probst that she didn’t think the vote was going to be all one way or the other and that it was going to be split, which raised the suspicions of Yau-Man and Earl.  After the vote, Yau-Man played the hidden immunity idol.  Since the votes for Yau-Man did not count, he was not voted out even though he received the most votes.  Instead, Stacy Kimball who received the second most votes became the thirteenth person voted off Survivor Fiji.

Yau Min actually received 4 votes. Cassandra, Boo Stacy and Dreams all voted for Yau Min, but since the played the Idol only Yau and Earl’s votes for counted as Stacy was voted off Survivor Fiji on 5-9-07
